Scholars of the Month are nominated by any Golden Apple ISU Scholar. The award is given to those individuals who have demonstrated hard work, dedication, and a passion for GAISU, and who have appeared to stand out among their scholar peers.

March 2018: Our March Scholar of the Month is Britney Folino!
Britney is senior elementary teacher education major here at ISU and is also receiving a minor in history. She is originally from Plainfield, IL. Outside of Golden Apple, Britney is involved in Kappa Delta Epsilon and Epsilon Sigma Alpha. In her free time, she enjoys, cooking, volunteering, watching movies and spending time with her friends.
Britney was chosen as Scholar of the Month for March because she is very involved in GA ISU, and a kind, helpful, and respectful face in Golden Apple.

February 2018: Our February Scholar of the Month is Maura Barfield!
Maura is senior elementary teacher education major here at ISU and is also receiving an endorsement in ESL. She is originally from Winchester, IL. Outside of Golden Apple, Maura is involved in student alumni council, and held the tech chair position on the board of GA. In her free time, she enjoys, volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, and is in Senior Honor Society.
Maura was chosen as Scholar of the Month for March because she is very involved in GA ISU, and a kind, helpful, and respectful face in Golden Apple.
