Get to know Sarah:
“I’m from Danville, IL and I’m a 2011 Golden Apple Scholar. I’m an Elementary Education major with endorsements in science, social studies, mathematics, reading, and language arts and I have a minor in psychology. I’m the founder and president of Students Against Child Abuse, VP of Fundraising for College Mentors for Kids and then I’m involved in the Finance and Technology committees for Golden Apple. I would like to teach in a Chicago Public School, but I haven’t chosen a grade yet. I think teachers should allow their students to have flexibility within structure, especially for older grades to make a better transition to upper level education. My inspiration comes from my nieces, nephews, and my mom.”
We would like to congratulate and celebrate Sarah and her many accomplishments! Thank you for your hard work for Golden Apple ISU!
